The Mynet Business Network, also known as My Network, is a feature that helps businesses of all sizes connect with their team members and with local customers who follow their profiles or business pages. Furthermore, you can post content network wide to be reviewed by other businesses, where you can select the audience.
Use of the network is designated for actual established businesses, that operate from a known location and hence business storefront or office. Or known service providers and repair services. The network may be used by Developers and their team members on open-source project communications, so long as they limit the post to "Select friends'" visibility, adding in their team members name to the post. Do not post proprietary information on the network, which is good advice to developers as well as all businesses. Personal proprietary notes may be post for review by yourself using the "Only me" visibility feature. Furthermore, regarding Developers, you can post to the public business network feed, if you are going public with your project and have something to offer them.
All business employees and team members should be friends of the business page, or one another's profiles. You can designate what role your personal profiles play, as contrasted to what role your business page plays in terms of which is used for what purpose business wise.
High-quality business content can be created and shared on the network, with control over who can see and review it. Options include sharing with the general public, friends only, selected friends, or keeping it set to "Only me" for private notes that only you can view and access.
Posting content to the feeds is based upon topical categories, where one category such as My Notes, would be used to post notes to yourself, with the visibility of the note set to "Only me" wherein, you can search your notes as needed, and furthermore, you can organize them using post titles and hashtags.
The categories let you post requests for inventory and supplies to the network-wide feed, where other businesses can see them and make offers. You can also post about inventory you have on hand that you’d like to move. As well as select such things as Business Journalism, or Technology news, ect. And of course, you can post a general category for discussion. Furthermore, you can select Resolvable, for post that require being resolved based upon projects, due date, or inventory request. You can review which items were resolved and which were not.
Advertisements can be conducted using My Network, where you can control where the advertisements go in terms of network feeds, such as to all of your friends or to the general public via the network wide business feeds. When posting business content to the Public, your post goes both to your friends and followers, as well as to the network wide business feed.
The only place where ads won’t appear is in our magazine. Mynet reserves the right to include advertising in the magazine through appropriate ad spots within the network. All magazine content is purely journalistic, created by our members who share creative, interesting, and engaging articles. Mynet offers this business network so you can advertise freely on the main news feed of your business page, to your profile friends and followers, and across the network-wide business feeds. Every Mynet member can access the USA Business Network, so articles posted there are open for anyone to read, not just businesses.
Regional Targeting
You can highlight the region your post covers by adding hashtags for your town, city, or county at the end of your articles text. This way, when people search for a business in their area, your articles will appear in the business network results.
Proper hashtag etiquette means writing your town or city like this: #LouisvilleKY, and your county like this: #JeffersonCountyKY, without spelling out the state. When everyone uses regional hashtags this way, it keeps everyone on the same page across the network.
The only place where regional hashtags may be used differently is in our "Networks" feeds.
Post Frequency
The frequency of posting content depends on your audience. For select team members, posting daily is fine if needed. For advertisements, daily posts can come across as oversaturation or spam, so once a week is recommended. If you want daily network-wide advertising, we offer an Ad Server account payable via PayPal or credit. Remember that as a business you must exhibit professionalism and observe proper etiquette when engaged with other businesses in a public network. If you want more abilities to post content to your team then we suggest you create a team group for your business, since your My Network application will also post to your group if you select it to do so.
If you’re posting journalistic business articles, once a week is recommended. Posting inventory updates is something you’d do occasionally, as needed.
Businesses can use the topical categories of a My Magazine post to share engaging articles that aren’t advertisements nor promotions. These pieces should be interesting and could cover topics like business news, technology, or home life, such as home and garden tips. When posting to the magazine feed, you can include an ad as a graphic between paragraphs, styled like a Leaderboard graphic with a wide format (750 px) and short height, or simply add a text ad at the bottom of your post.
Product reviews are not allowed to be post in the Magazine since such would spam up the magazine feed. You may post product reviews in your My Network business feed to both the public and business feeds. Please note that anyone who abuses the magazine feed with articles that are nothing more than an advertisement or product review and promotion, will be removed from Mynet. Our magazine is for creative online talent.
Whenever Mynet features an article in My Magazine, we reserve the right to add an advertisement of our own to the article. If the advertisement is removed by the author, then it will be unfeatured, since business is a two-way street. Mynet must advertise our client's ads for our income needs to stay online for you.
Restricted Use
Content like yard sales or yard sale items, which aren’t from established business sources, shouldn’t be posted due to network moderation rules. These belong in the timeline news feed of an individual’s profile. Members can use the Classifieds section of the network to post ads, where non-business-related public marketplace content is intended specifically for Classifieds.
Additionally, businesses can’t post ads in the Classifieds, as it’s meant for non-business-related listings, except in sections like Jobs, Positions Wanted, Positions Available, and other hiring categories.
Furthermore, all posts are governed by Mynet's User Rules and Agreement, as well as our Community Standards, which prohibit any inappropriate content, including adult material that most people would find offensive online. Posting adult content will result in the member’s IP address being banned, and all of their content, profiles, and pages being deleted. We want to keep everything in the business network professional and require our business network users to be of top-notch respectability here in the public domain of this forum.
If any gross abuse ever comes to this network, we will afterwards require paid for membership to use the network and to create business pages.
