My Net aka mynet is envisioned as being a place you would call your network.  It is as simple as Facebook in layout, with a similar news feed. And is visually appealing in layout and functionality. A visitor may tour a lot of the network but cannot see the news feed because the feed is personalized according to a person's profile, and who they friend, like and follow. The news feed is interesting in terms of its features and functions.  

 Mynet uses several posting methods so that our users will be able to post content easily on the fly using a simple Facebook like posting text box or take time to edit the content with a WYSIWYG rich text editor, for website like articles.

 The rich text editor allows for more content to be added to a post; such a photos and illustrations being added in-between paragraphs of text. As many as the creator of the post wants to add. For instance, you could tell a story about your vacation or fishing trip and add photos with explanations, as well as embed a video in the text. And thus, post a journalistic sort of creation in the news feed. Similar to the above, is the ability to post rich text content on your profile, to personalize and spruce up your profile. In addition is the ability to select a visual theme for the network, to change its appearance, where we can add as many themes for our users to select, as we can create. Thus, making the network even more interesting in terms of looks. Hence, you would sample all of the themes and select the one that you like, and thus personalize your network view. Making it more colorful, if you want. Mynet is not meant to mediocre nor drab by any means.

 The post that people publish to the news feed, are also sent to our network's website, which is an internal website that the general public can access, to read the post which appear as articles in the magazine. Our magazine appears to be a regular online website of the journalistic and online influencer kind or rather, an aggregated online syndicated magazine. Which will contain ads on behalf of our local and regional businesses. Most ads will appear in the sidebar, but we do have premier ad placement spots in the news feed and magazine section. Hence, our previous example of the post about the fishing trip would be found in the public access magazine.

 Currently, Mynet is operating as a demonstration site, to acquaint those interested in this project with what it is and what it is capable of. Needless to say, it offers features and tools that neither Facebook nor Twitter (x) offers. Ranging from simple means to create post to more advanced features and tools. We want people to say, "this is my network." Hence the meaning of My Net.

 Another interesting thing about Mynet is that it has its own built in phone app, which supported phones will tell our visitors and users that they can download directly from here. And since, it is hosted by us, and not a third party, no data is being shared with anyone outside of the network. The future of phone apps as we know them today, is depreciating and being slowly replaced by apps such as we have here.

 Our demo site here, is to illustrate to anyone interested what we are and are capable of. Furthermore, those interested must realize that a social media site makes its money off of advertising for local clients as well as big name clients like Amazon of which we have an advertising account with (Amazon Associates). Most everyone likes Amazon.  

 Mynet at present is being hosted via an inferior sort of hosting account and requires an account that will provide us with access to configure the Apache server with the Apache modules we need to run a full-fledged network with thousands of users. If we tried to run thousands of users at this moment, then the site would glitch and break and the database would become corrupted. Hence, we need to acquire a better server account. Or if anyone is interested and has a local hosting company with a dedicated server, they are not making good use of, then we could partner with them, and thus form a partnership or collaboration. Furthermore, we are looking for donations to help with this cause.

 If we obtain the resources that we need, in terms of seed money for the launch of this enterprise, we will then have to remain online to grow the network and also, acquire enough advertising accounts and resultant revenue to become self-sufficient and sustainable.  Hence there is the interim period of growth of a year or so, to reach enough user mass to become profitable. Which may also require some donations to get through to that period.

 Hence, in the interest of those who might consider partnering with us, and for those who might consider becoming team members once we have reached the goal of becoming self-sustainable and can afford team members to help run and manage things. We have provided this demonstration of what Mynet is. Furthermore, the developers behind the code of this network, provides additional features that we can add onto this network, to keep the vision of things up to date, and to increase its features, functions and capabilities. Whereof, we are capable of remaining an advanced sort of social media platform, more advanced than Facebook or Twitter. Which might sound impossible for some to believe, hence this demo.

  However, with an inferior server service, we cannot be the advanced network this platform was designed for, without access to the server configuration that comes with a dedicated server account. If we had our own home-based server with some substantial disk space, and a good amount of RAM we would self-host it here at our location, but we do not have such a thing here.  

 Now as far as partners and team members, in the event we do reach our goal, our partners could support us for continued advertising on our platform throughout the region we service. Knowing that as a service we would in time grow to acquire members not just from the state, but the surrounding states where our members family and friends live, whom our members would suggest and invite they join. And thus, one day we would spread out over the states, which is a great idea.

 Team members would consist of an advertising department team, who would prepare graphical ads, and daily provide ad placement on the network. As well as manage advertising accounts and clients. Furthermore, we have had the vision of perhaps one day providing a studio at Mynet or several studios for streaming video broadcast and podcasting, for those of our region who would like to have an online show. Perhaps a local ministry or some talented regional musicians.

 The potential uses of a social media platform are interesting to consider in terms of a long-term vision that reaches into the future.
